Hu (pronounced Hoo) means "Tiger" in Chinese
Leong (pronounced Long) means "Dragon"

Hu-Leong is an anti-ground system of fighting,

meaning "stay on your feet and go to the ground only if you have to".
We stay on our feet and learn how to keep control
regardless of the opponents' size or weight
and the area you're fighting in.  If you do end up on the ground,
this system will teach you how to get out
and what applications you can use on the ground
in order to maintain control.

In this class you will learn primarily from Shaolin and Tai Chi, JKD
and also some from other systems.

The system is made up of different skills, not of forms.
You will be working on eye and hand coordination with repetition
to create
 muscle memory/automatic reflexive response.

We use equipment in our
training such as mats, focus pads & kicking shields.

Hu-Leong Creed

Hu-Leong is a Tao of life.
A Tao to find yourself.
A Tao to be free.
Learn yourself and you will learn of life.
That is the road to mastery.
Be yourself, my friend.
That is Hu-Leong.

Hu-Leong Motto

Remember, it's not what you know,
it's what you use and how well you use it.

HU-LEONG
you are here
